The Kegger

Hey gang! I thought I would stop in and say hi! I'm still alive and well. Still working at Home Depot, and still doing leather work on the side. It has been a while since I have built a lightsaber, but when I get caught up on current projects, I would like to rebuild my old brass and copper saber with the yellow blade.

Here is one of my recent projects. If we are friends on FB, you've seen it, but I thought I would share it here.

The pattern is called The Scottish Purse. I treated the plaid material with waterproofing spray to help repel water and dirt, and I lined the pockets with the same material.

If it wasn’t for the recent medical bills (I’m laid up with a closed tibial plateau fracture that’s on week #5), I had planned on trying to get a Jedi belt from you soonish. Might have to add that type of pouch into my thinking.

Not saber related, but I thought you folks might be interested.  Those of you that are with me on Facebook have probably seen them.

Our local drive-in theater closed down in 2019.  I managed to connect with the owners and buy up a bunch of the old speakers and junction boxes.  I have been going through the process of restoring them, and making tabletop drive-in speaker stands with them.  I put a Bluetooth receiver in them, and a white LED that shines through the downlight hole.  They operate on 12V, so you can run them with a wall adaptor, or from your car's accessory plug.  I have built a few full height ones as well.  I'm working on a set for myself that will have an FM receiver as well, so I can take it to the drive-in that is still running in a nearby city, and stand it next to the car and listen to the movie through it.
